“The Special Boiler design Bureau” (SKBK) has been organized in 1946 in the structure of Ministry of shipbuilding industry
to create domestic marine steam boilers for ships and boats of all classes and assignments.
By present more than 10 000 marine steam boilers have been made and passed a long operation cycle
Since 1952 SKBK has been fulfilling works on creation of heat-exchange equipment and fittings for marine atomic-powered plants
SKBK has available a team of high-qualified engineers - constructors, designers, testers and workers
In 1994 SKBK was reorganized into the joint stock company “SKBK”
When the conversion began and the number of military orders reduced, JSC SKBK began to use widely its experience of steam boilers
designing for civil heat power objects (boiler plants, heat-and-power stations, nuclear power stations,
oil refineries and metallurgical factories)
JSC “SKBK” fulfills:
- designing of boilers and heat-exchange equipment;
- designing and manufacture of automatic control systems and program-technical complexes based on microprocessor technology;
- functions of General designer and General contractor of boiler houses and thermoelectric power stations;
- delivery of boilers and overall equipment of boiler houses;
- supervision, setting up and putting boilers into operation
JSC “SKBK” has:
- ŕ high-qualified staff;

supervision of Armed forces of Russia, Federal Security Service.
Production of JSC “SKBK” is certified and has permission for application for dangerous objects
Small sizes and low mass of the boilers designed by JSC “SKBK”, good dynamic characteristics,
high economic efficiency and maintainability, short time of setting-up, delivery by completely factory assembled modules
available for operation, capability to burn in them any kinds of fuel specify their promising application at boiler
plants of power stations and various industrial enterprises, boiler plants of small power and mini-HPP including
Since 2006 JSC “SKBK” has been affiliated with closed JSC “Speckomplektresurs Holding Company”,
which also incorporates enterprises JSC “Armalit-1” and JSC “Ascold” engaged in producing and supplying ship
